Who is Aunir?

We are the leading independent developer and supplier of near infrared reflectance (NIR) spectroscopy calibrations. We make light work to test the nutritional, chemical and physical properties of ingredients and products in an efficient and cost effective way. It is a non-destructive method of determining the quality attributes of materials.

Our software solutions are designed for use across a wide range of food and agricultural markets including animal feed, flour and milling, pet food and plant breeders.

NIR testing techniques can be used at all stages of production, avoiding the expensive and time consuming process of testing samples in a traditional laboratory.

How do we do this? We have built up the Ingot database of accredited sample reference points over the past 25 years. This means that we have gathered all kinds of samples from all over the world and analysed them using both NIR and wet chemistry techniques. Our Ingot database now contains over 4 million data points representing an investment of approximately £200 million.
